The dense rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest has protected over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population. Local trackers meet you at the forest edge, and guide you through the rainforest to the gorilla group you will be viewing. You will be close. Close enough to hear the gorillas vocalize, close enough to watch the mothers tend to their young, and close enough to note that the silverback is in charge. The gorillas know that you are watching; but because you are in the company of a local guide who knows the family well, you are accepted by the group.
