A cornerstone of Deeper Africa is our commitment to enriching the lives of the people who are our hosts in East Africa. Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda spend a considerable amount of their country's resources protecting their animals. Much more of their country's annual budget is dedicated to wildlife preservation than is the case with most other countries' annual budget. To show their appreciation, many of our guests want to give something back to the people who are their hosts. In furtherance of that goal, Deeper Africa has worked to establish avenues to ensure that our guests can make charitable contributions that go to Africans who will benefit directly from their generosity. We look carefully at opportunities that put donated dollars to work, rather than into an administrative bureaucracy. Our guests tell us their cultural travel was the most rewarding part of their safari.
Visiting any of the NGOs and charitable programs we support can be a part of any custom safari. Guests visit our supported projects for a day, or longer, as they choose.
