Our 4WD Land Cruisers give us privileged back-country access to lion, leopard
and cheetah. Sightings enjoyed by only a few safari travelers. Our naturalists
guides, who hold the highest certifications with the Kenyan Professional
Safari Guide Association, show us how to track the cats and understand their
behavior. Along the way, we'll be alert for the small cats, too: serval
and African wildcats.

- We will begin
our safari in Lake Nakuru National Park. Nakuru is a small park packed
with game. No patience required as the park is full of animals. Here
we will begin Deeper Africa's Natural Learning program learning to
identify wildlife species, and spot and track game. Practice that
will get us ready for the Maasai Mara!
- An in-depth
look with our own naturalist into the life of the big cats of the
Maasai Mara. We set our schedule each evening with our naturalist
guide so that we can move to the cats, at the right time at the right
place. Keen observation will teach us how the big cats hunt, mark
territorial boundaries, raise their young and coexist in this remarkable
landscape.
- Lion, cheetah,
leopard, the Maasai Mara has them all in abundance.
- Bush plane
transit into and out of the Masaai Mara allows us maximum wildlife
viewing time.
