"The lions were the thing that surprised me most - how big and scary they are!  I liked the elephants, especially Billy.  At Ruaha River Lodge, some people were going to have a wedding and Billy stuck his trunk in the window of their Land Cruiser and ate all the flowers.

I liked Loita Hills because I got to spend a lot of time with the Maasai warriors and I got to know a boy named Naikara.  He taught me how to throw a spear and a rungu (throwing stick) and how to identify stinging plants.  My favorite souvenir is the red shuka (Maasai cloak) the warriors gave me.  And my single favorite person was Ammy, our guide in Tanzania - talking to him during game drives was great."
