Dear Deeper Africa,
My experience with Deeper Africa was totally amazing. I will highly recommend this company to anyone! They took care of everything. Right from the planning stages (so many emails), to booking our flights, to making sure our accommodations were great, to providing names of previous guests, the reading material, the t-shirt/hats, to having us meet (by email and conference call) the other ladies in our safari group, to contact with our guides while we were in Africa! Our guides (now friends) Ayoub and Ammy are true ambassadors for Tanzania. Their vast amount of knowledge was incredible, they seem to know exactly where to find all the animals, and you can actually feel how much they love the animals and Tanzania. We saw unbelievable numbers of animals (yes, every one of the Big Five) and the boys have turned me into an avid bird watcher. The vehicles were great and we loved that there were never more than four guests in each vehicle so picture-taking was never an issue. We saw many vehicles with the guests jammed in like sardines. Ayoub and Ammy took the time to get to know each of us in a personal way which I found wonderful. Ayoub and Ammy truly made my journey to Tanzania one I'll never, ever forget. I'll be going back for sure!

Our Rwandan leg of the trip was also a very special experience. Johnson, our guide, was another amazing man who I now call my friend.  I was very moved by his stories and his love of Rwanda. He told us so much about that beautiful country.  Our lodge was fantastic!  The staff had the fireplace going in our chalet when we got back from trekking every afternoon and they even put hot water bottles under the covers when we were ready for bed.  Nice touch!

Johnson ensured that we had an amazing gorilla trek.  Our guide both days was Francois, who actually worked with Dian Fossey.  What a thrill for me!  Every one should have the privilege of spending some time with the amazing gorillas of Rwanda.   It's another unforgettable experience.  The feeling you get when you make eye contact with those wonderful animals is something that's very hard to explain. Another dream come true!
