Trip Overview

The dense rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest protects over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population. Local trackers meet you at the forest edge, and guide you through the rainforest to the gorilla group you will be viewing. Two days of gorilla viewing allows you to visit two separate family groups. 

Gorilla viewing in Bwindi allows you very close to a gorilla family.  The gorillas know that you are watching; but because you are in the company of a local guide who knows the family well, you are accepted by the group. Upscale accommodations and a return to Entebbe by bush plane allow you to travel deep into the wilderness while remaining very comfortable.
